staining ply?

been asked to cut this in dark wood, but don't have any big enough, does anyone have any experience staining BB ply? don't want it to look 'tacky'. Would imagine it would need to be stained after cutting?

Lovely design! I have been using some Rustins Walnut stain which works nice on pine but haven't tried it on ply yet.

You could try Endless Green they sell a walnut crystal you can make stain from, by varying the strength of mixture you can produce from very light pine to almost black.

It takes well to Plywood but you will find staining the internal cuts will be time consuming--- I just dip the Ply

I used it for years until I started making my own from walnut husks
