here's a question for anyone who has picked potato's many years ago :)
what is the thingy that winds the wire tie's up on the sacks called could post a pic if it would refresh anyones memory. got one and was thinking of puting it on the bay thanks andy

i think it is called an arcameedies screw (not sure of the spelling though) but lidl have a lode of them at £2.99 so i don't think you will get much interest.

just like the little fret work drill never thought of that. thanks for that. would doubt they are selling anything like this is more industrial :)
 
I have used wire to lock assemblies on old bike engines, there are pliers made for this:

I never had a pair but they are still made.
