Spindle thread

Can anyone help, a friend has bought a LENACRAFT Lathe standard reeves drive type lathe it came with a chuck which was just jammed on the first, thread,The chuck is 1 inch x 8 tpi the thread on lathe is 25mm od and looks like 10 tpi have not managed to identify thread yet any searches for this model of lathe say it is 1 inch x 8 tpi,this one isnt.
