That's some really good work you've done there, Looks like you got stuck in at college!
I really like the oak canopy too but would think the slate battens would be better cut flush with the rafter and a barge board fitted, or perhaps a strip just enough to cover the battens, keeping the rain and weather out and stop the ends rotting.
Is this the one you were asking about fixing into stone? Did you go for chem set bolts?
You're Table with turned legs looks good too, do you have a workshop and machines?
These probably should be on AndyT's thread.
Looks very much like you can walk the walk, Be less abrasive and talk the talk.

Regards Rodders

Hi Jamie,
Is it an optical illusion or does the door in the first picture not quite fit properly at the bottom?
Was there an uneven floor you had to workaround?
Sorry if this seems picky but just intrigued as the door looks nice apart from that
Edit: just had a closer look at the picture and realised the door is open

I think my favourite is the Walnut table. can we see a shot showing more of the top and butterflies if you have one.

Nice work by the way. Very nice.

Really nice work indeed Jamie. I particularly like the conservatory and the walnut coffee table.

John

Very impressive. I have just shown my wife. She said see what can be done. I am assuming you are a full time woodworker. Well done

Mike

Very nice work. Love that oak porch and door.
Not bad for a professional

Hi guys,

Yeah the oak canapy, the client wanted the battens exposed
Can't argue with the money giver lol. Yeah I used the resin with threads worked a treat. The oak door is ajar as it just have oil put on,abit annoying must go there and take another pic.

What finish(es) do you use on exterior oak?

BugBear

I don't use a finish on green oak, I find it always turns a bit of an orangy colour, maybe it's the moisture content I don't know. For airdried exterior Joubert ie, Windows and doors I use osmo exterior clear finish. Lovely stuff and tends not to darken the oak to much.
