Soft close

Hi i have brought some soft close buffers for my kitchen unit doors,the problem is when i shut the door it does not press the buffer in,so the door sticks out,i've installed correct (i think) ,any ideas please.

Is your problem with all doors or one door? Can you push the stop(s) in by hand?

These are the same as the ones Ikea did before their hinge clip on ones.
Ikea advised they are installed 15cm out from the door hinge. Works generally - but if the door is heavier you'll need it positioned further out. Sounds like your is positioned too far out. Try temporarily sticking it in various positions - try 15cm first.

Are you using sprung hinges? If not then there will be no force to push against the stop. If you are using sprung hinges it may be that they have been adjusted so that the spring has been reduced ie if the hinge has been adjusted to its maximum left position if its left mounted.

Thanks for the help ,the 15cm worked a treat,it seems i had them to far away
