Anyone familiar with Smartcut pro please?
I'm trying to use the Demo version 2.4 trying to decide to buy it or not.
I've entered my available material in the 'panels' window as a few offcuts, 1 of each size and plenty of full size pieces. As it happen I am making shelves and all my stock is ready cut 150mm wide and I'm trying to optimise the lengths only.
When I run the optimisation no errors are thrown up - so far so good but...
when I look at the cutting layout tab, it is trying to use 6 pieces the same size as my 1 of my offcuts, 2 of another 1 of one size and not using 1 size at all and 4 of my full lengths.
The cutting report tab is completely different. I says it has used all my offcuts and 9 full lengths of my stock.
I can't understand what might be wrong. I assume it is me and that software that they charge money for must work properly??
Can anyone suggest what I might be doing wrong?
