Small dovetail box

Hi all

Recently finished this little dovetail box. It’s taken a little while but this is my first dovetail project and with a lot of patience I’m quite proud of it. I’ve been around on this forum for years but kind of in the background watching and listening. But I’m loving this hobby and will be contributing my future projects to the group, well the worthy ones.

That does look good - nice neat dovetails. The drawer front looks like ash and the body is mahogany?

I’m not 100% but I think it’s sapele mahogany.

Just guessing looking at the grain pattern - is the lighter wood America Ash?

Whatever it is, it's a nice contrast with the Sapele.

It’s ash yes. They were off cuts from a bed frame I made a while back
