Slitting blade for a router.

Most of the model engineering suppliers will have slitting saws.

My reservations would be that a router even on its slowest setting may be too fast, there is also not a lot of "set" so the disc could rub.

As Brian says the Wealden slot cutter is your best bet. A biscuit cutter will take a 4 mm slice...the slotter, at the bottom of the list in Brian's link to Wealden, only has a 1.5 mm "kerf".
