Slip plane ?

I have a customer that has doors binding on the door stops (no I did not fit doors or stops) the stops are Oak and full width
I am sure that in the past I used a "SLIP plane " only to increase the clearance but can't find this tool listed on any tool sites. Can anyone help?

Is this what you mean http://www.lie-nielsen.com/catalog.php?sku=99 I think Record and Stanley also used to make them, but theirs would only be available second-hand nowadays. Alternatively you could possibly use a bullnose plane, preferably with a removeable end so that you can plane right up to the end.

Thanks Paul that is what I want the bullnose plane would require the removal of the door which I want to avoid

There's a Record 2506s currently in eBay. Planecraft book shows one in use to open up a door shut. You would need to buy a pair of the LN or Stanley ones.

which just like the Record and it's Preston forebears is double ended
