Hi, just bought a 2nd hand SIP 01332 Tablesaw off ebay for £165. Picking it up on Thursday. Now, can anyone tell me the size of the main table and in particular, the main box dimensions. The rest of it strips down. Can I fit it in a Passat estate or will I need to hire a small van?
Many Thanks
John

The main table is not that big once you take the extension wings off. Also the lower half of the cabinet dismatles fairly easliy. I can't give you exact measurements yet, but I would say it would fit into a passat estate quite easliy.. Make sure there are two of you though because even when stripped down, it weighs an awful lot.

Great saw though, you'll love it.

I guess it is pretty much like my Axminster - if so, it will weigh around 1/4 tonne!

Personally, i would not even try to put my saw in a car

I'm not too worried about putiing it in the car. Three adults in the back can be a lot heavier than 190 kilos. What I'm trying to figure out is "will it go in". Can anybody tell me the height, width, depth of the main box including table?
Cheers

I don't see your problem because Roger gave you all the details you asked for in his link.

900 X 620 X 480

Obviously as yours is second hand it will not be boxed up exactly as it would have been when new, but if you take the base apart (size wise) the main saw table will be the same as it came in the box.
If the seller has still got the box and inverts the saw then the base, side extensions and every other part that came with it (except the fence and rails) will fit inside just as it was when new. Either way it will all fit in your car.

I think Tony has a point though.

Cheers

Doh, yer right an' all. Thanks everyone. I'll let you know how I get on. Never bought anything from ebay before, hope it's not a lemon. Fingers crossed.

John,

Sounds like you've got a good deal there mate.
Your Passet's payload max is over 400kg not including the driver, so unless you weigh over 250kg, then you ain't got a problem :D
