Some of the Silverline stuff is okay with good guarantees - forever on hand tools and three years (I Think) on power tools.

At that price it's worth just giving them a try don't you think,

well £3 per blade !

they have an 80 tooth blade for £6

dunno - it goes against what they say about buying the best you can afford ! LOL !

A tool shop opened up near me selling Silverline stuff and it was mostly crap.Shop didnt last long.I bought some of their ali oxide paper on a roll.It was next to useless and turned everything red as the coating just disintergrated.

Doubt that was entirely down to the quality of the Silverline stuff. There are several stores local to me selling Silverline and they have all been going for many years.

I'm not defending Silverline but it isn't all crap. I know you only ever get what you pay for but at £3.00 a pop for the blades with a 3 year guarantee - it's got to be worth a try.

I think I'd be worries about teeth flying off at me ? no ?

it's tempting - you could use a new blade every job :)

Saw Blades...Tried one, was OK. Bought another (different saw) it was crap, wouldn't cut properly at all.
Got one of their Sanders, broke after about a month. Guaranteed but, it would have cost me more to send it back than it cost to buy.
Skipdiver is right about their abrasives, they're absolute pants.
On the other hand, bought a cheapie welder of theirs and for £40 it's not bad at all.

The Silverline saws are ok for the money - it's a case of you get what you pay for.
They cost more to have sharpened than to buy new so it's a case of using until blunt and then throw away!

Some of the other Silverline stuff is really good though :D
Been impressed by their Holesaws, disposable tct planer blades, wire brushes etc but don't rate the power tools at all - well not the one's that I've tried. The new cordless drills are supposed to be ok but I haven't used one yet so can comment.

They are great :p .....for what they are and for what i use them for and the price they are well worth it.
