Hi , after the turn out with Poolewood I thought my next port of call would be Silverdrive

Phoned them on Wednesday and gave them the story

He said he would speak to his fabricator and ring me back

2 days later no call so I rang again Friday afternoon , and was told , " sorry cant help "

So I have no other choice now but to sort out the Poolewood stand myself

So that will be my job for today ,

Looking at your pictures in your first post I would say that the stand is definitely telescopic. The square sections are not a rigidity factor but purely hold the ends together until you bolt on the bed, which does provide the rigid portion of the frame. try loosening the pinch bolts on the square sections and I think the frame should slide apart to the required length. I hope this helps.

Didn't Poolewood (or was it the manufacturer?) already offer to replace them with longer tubes?. Did I notice correctly that the holes are drilled through the corner of the inner section. If so, do the bolts screw right through onto the opposite inner corner of the inner section.

Hi

They told me on Monday this week someone would be up mext Monday to sort it out

then phoned again Thursday to say they would not be up because the fitter is not well , and they do not know when they will be coming

so I spent today sorting it myself

3 off 14" longer spreader tubes

take the rest to a local machine shop and the lathe bed , and get all the holes re done so it all fits together

etc etc
