Hi guys. I have an older model Record lathe (blue paint) badged as Record, but with Coronet and No. 0 also embossed on it.

I bought it secondhand and have started to learn on it by turning some practice pieces, but also slimline pens.

I find the toolrest to be just too long when the pen mandrel is mounted and I have to have the mandrel at maximum length to get the toolrest as close as I can. Even then there's still nearly a 10mm gap between toolrest and workpiece, as I can't get the rest closer due to each end catching on the live centre and the headstock. I believe it's the standard toolrest supplied with the machine.

Does anyone know if I can get a shorter toolrest that would fit this machine?
