Why does no one make short, fat screws!?!?!?

I want a No.10 that's 20mm long (25 at most).

It's for securing toggle clamps to a router table jig. They need to mbe short as I don't want the jig base to be too thick or else the bit will never reach the work!

There are many other applications for short, fat ones too!

Also, while I'm ranting, whay oh why is EVERY screw head countersunk! What ever happened to roundhead screws. Maybe there are some but not many!!!

:x

Are the screw that sometimes come with flatpack furniture generally available. Something that can screw into a standard sheet of MFC and not come out the other side, but have a chunky enough shank and thread that they don't strip out.

Thanks
J
