shooting board

I am thinking of making a good shooting board using a low angle smoothing plane ( which i have yet to purchase ! )

Does anyone use one also what is the max thickness of timber can be worked on them ?

I use one and it's OK. I'd suggest a sensible max of 20mm. 25 degree blade relieves some pressure requirement

I use one. Nice simple board with a square edge / square stop, but i do have the veritas shooting plane. It was expensive, but it is awesome
