It filters over 375 cubic metres of air per second

I hope thats a typo - 375 cubic meters per second!!! Now if that was the case, it really wouldn't be required to upgrade to a cyclone design!!

the specs says it moved 800cubic meters/hour.

Hi Adam - you're right - that was a typo.

The problem is that although most manufacturers quote cubic meters/hour Record Power specify in l/sec ??

The actual calculation to get the Scheppach rating of 1000 Cu m/hour in order to compare performance between the two machines is:
1000/60/60x1000 = 277 l per sec - (this is with the normal bag)

Thanks for pointing out my mistake Adam - my point stands though that when used with a 100mm pipe, the scheppach filters almost 3 times the amount of air than the Record.

Cheers

Nolan

I do like the sound of this so far! On the Bill Pentz site he talks about the need for a 6inch pipe and 800 cu ft per ? i don't spose anyone knows what the claimed figures are for the sheppach are?

Gardenshed I'm not sure why the Torch test is unnessasary with the .5micron filter? do you mean you believe them??
surely if you try it and cant see any, that will at least prove something.

Mike, there just isn't any dust to see at that level.
