Sharpening system selection

Most of my work has been furniture and cabinet making. I have used an old JET waterstone sharpening machine and waterstones to sharpen my plane blades, chisels and other cabinet making tools. Recently I have been doing some turning and sharpening the various turning tools quickly and consistently is a challenge.

I can spend about £250 to get the Tormek woodturners kit or invest in the Robert Sorby pro edge system. Upgrading my JET to the Tormek T8 with all the required jigs would cost far too much.

Any suggestions which direction to take?

Slow grinder and Sorby 447 jig done me well for over 20 years.
