sharpening service

Hi,

I had a bad day yesterday cleaning up a 'corby' top, missed a screw end embedded in the board the top had been filled so could not see it. Anyway I now need to have a couple od planner blade sets sharpened. Any recommendations for a good place to get them done. Local to Nottingham would be a bonus.

I got three hits on "sharpening" in nottingham from EYP

Even if they don't offer the service you want, there is a good chance that they will know local firms who do.

Try your local tool hire company they have to send all their blades for sharpening so may offer you a sharpening service as well

I can highly reccomend a saw doctors in lincoln called the saw point.

They come and pick up the stuff to be sharpened from you and drop it off the next week. I dont know if they cover your area but they travel 40 miles to my workshop so it may be worth contacting them.

I have used East Midlands Saw & Tool Co.Ltd to make a set of spindle moulder blades and they where very good.

I had some spindle moulder cutters made by Stevens Saws Worcester and they seem pretty good. They do do a saw resharpening service.
