Plane Fever is highly contagious, spread by even casual contact in shops, stores or photos. It's fast acting- many victims go from nothing to dozens in mere months. Symptoms: hairless arms, low bank accounts, and frequent UPS deliveries

I also seem to have a digital caliper fetish....i have over 32 now and still not enough  and a 6 inch rule fetish...i bought a box of 100....is this treatable  then added a few more

I'm thinking of trying the handsaws next....i only own the shiney ones (must be shiney ...must be shiney) have been feart to sharpen so i just bin and buy..even LN ones ...yes i binned one  but isnt this disposable britain  having a short temper has its downside

Hopefully there will not be a next time but if there is please send it to me, I will pat the postage

The LN is just the tip of the iceberg  anyone that comes into the workshop that knows me knows i cant cope with mess.....

I only work 5 months of a year so get plenty workshop time to clean up...last month i got a new cnc and a few new bits and pieces and the place got cluttered so something had to give.

25 years worth of timber to be precise...rosewood ...cherrys..walnut...everything that would make a woodworker weep...gone...tip...no mercy....it caused mess...i dont do clutter. In hindsight i was a bit rash cause their was a piece of walnut i paid £600 for ...but hey i'lll move on.
I'm over it and the place is spic and span again. I can breath again...and i've now got room for more tools so there is a God  thats even after buildign another shed

Thats nicotine reduced rage and depression for you...worst 6 months of my life.

BTW, methinks someone is being paid far toooo much

whenever i'm 400 ft in the air with just a rope and harness on changing and inspecting navigation aids i dont think i'm paid too much

I

Ian,
Makes me feel sick and dizzy just thinking about being 400 ft in the air on a rope!
I get a nosebleed if I go up North further than Kensington High Street! :p

Martin

Ian,
You are definitely certifiable - just, please, give your admirers here a chance to relieve you of any excess stocks any time the nicotine mist descends...

What he said :)

OK Guys, here's how we do this...

Two or three of us wander up to ostensibly have a look at Ian's WS and planes and stuff.

Before we go in we draw straws.

Short straw has the job of winding Ian up into a towering rage about something or other; perhaps while smoking at the same time will help.

The two long straws beat a hasty retreat outside and hold the corners of a large blanket by one of the windows to catch the slabs of walnut, miscellaneous planes and cameras etc that will come flying out while Ian beats short straw to pulp!

The trick for the two long straws is not to do a 'Fools and Horses' number and be outside the wrong WS opening as the kit comes flying out!

I hereby volunteer to be one of the long straws.

Best Regards,

Martin
(Who now fears he has zero chance of getting one of Ian's 'seconds') :(

I volunteer to be the short straw ( 10 years plus training might give me half a chance  , did I just write that :? ), as long as I get first pick of bits we get  :D :-$
( Dont tell Ian )
