I am on the lookout for a planner thicknesser. I am following an old MB, unfortunately a fair hike away, but that is the price to be paid for living in West Cumbria. It’s number is MBW 553, does this help anyone to date it?
It is said to have been sat in a container. Unused for 5 years, I do not expect this to be an issue, as long as I can see it running and there is nothing more than superficial surface rust. Other than looking out for excessive sprocket wear, is there anything else that I should be looking out for? I am quite happy to dismantle, clean, replace bearings, if required.
