Just in case anyone in the future comes across this thread, I've bought two panel saws. One is a 3.5 tpi rip saw and the other is a 10 tpi crosscut saw. Got both of them from oldtools.co.uk, bit more expensive than buying them from ebay, but it means that they're actually going to be as described. The crosscut one needs a sharpen, but the rip saw is pretty decent.
