Sears Craftsman radial arm saw

Morning, first post on here so go easy on me, lol, I have a Sears Craftsman radial arm saw from America which obviously has a American plug. My question is can it be used in the UK and if so what do I need or is a trip to the scrap yard. Thanks

First point is it’s 120v so unsuitable for direct mains use ! To use it you will need a transformer with a sufficient power output to supply the correct voltage.
If you go down this route do not use a standard U.K. plug, use one of the low voltage plug systems so that it cannot be inadvertently plugged into the mains.
I am not a electrician so take suitable advice from a professional.

The simplest way is to get a 110V site transformer. It will run slow being 50Hz rather than 60 and will be low on power due to the voltage drop. Worth a try if you can borrow/hire a transformer.
