So as per ‘last project’ thread, I’ve turned a cherry cup / mug. It’s end grain turned, and suggestions on suitable product to seal the inside so it’s waterproof / does not leak that will take hot water for tea, doesn’t make your brew taste horrid and as a bonus, no nasty chemicals that will give you stomach upset ‘ cancer ‘ death!?!?

You will have to learn to do Urushi finishes. The Japanese use it on their tea cups and soup bowls. It can also be used for cups etc that hold alcohol.
