I'm in the middle of making a "rustic" side table. The wood is cedar from a felled garden tree that was cut down 7/8 years ago. I've previously made 2 other tables with an epoxy infill design with embedded beach bits & pieces.
This current piece of cedar had/has a few cracks that needed some filling before pouring any epoxy.
I decided to try mitre fast /mitre bond. The glue seeped into the cracks well and then the activator cured it in seconds.
I'm very happy with the results so far, (after sanding), I just hope there is no reaction when I start the epoxy. We'll see! .
It's a fun project as I'll be embedding some "Joe Bar Team" figures in the epoxy.
