All of the above I goo advice but you usually have to find it out for yourself as no one mentions stuff like building studs and screwing on plasterboard on forums and in articles. It's all sliding dovetails and wheely gig marking gauges.
I use the threaded to the head style of screws for strapping uneven walls to save using packers. Just use an undersize pilot hole in the strapping timber and hold level while your putting in the screw. Works a treat.
