I have just purchased the scheppach ts2010. Having set it up as per the instructions, the sliding carriage is perfect at 90* but is out 45* using the pin. can anyone explain to me how to correct this. Is it due to the running rail, a manufacturing fault or something else.

Hi Steve

Welcome to the forum.

Have you had any contact with NMA, the importers? IIRC they have a decent set of setup instructions for all of their products.

Cheers
Neil

Hi Neil

Thanks for your reply.
I have spoken to NMA, they were very helpful. The saw is not idiot proof is the short answer! The bolts holding the mitre guage were not fully home. They are also sending me some new clips to hold the saw to the base since 1 of them snapped and a bracket for the table length extension which was missing from the box.

Great service.

Thanks again, I'm of to cut some wood!

Cheers

Hi, I have this saw too.

Don't you find that with the sliding carriage you still get some play on that little bolt that is meant to lock at 90 degrees, its a pain as you can't trust it to just drop in and cut away.

Any tips anybody has on getting the blade at perfect right angles would be good too, as not always easy either.

Happy cutting, G.

Hi g

I don't have the problem with the pin, maybe you should contact NMA for a replacement, mine seems pretty tight fitting. I am struggling to get the surface of the sliding table parallel to the saw table. The sliding table is higher on the outer edge than near the saw, meaning the crosscut fence has to be lifted to miss the front of the saw table. Any sggestions? I have noticed that the saw blade is not vertical when set at 0* but the adjuster is inside the saw and the saw has to be inverted to change it. Not very friendly and the saw is heavy to manhandle around.

Tell you how I get on.

Steve

Steve,

Thanks for the reply. In answer to your question I had the same issue, and after much fiddling with the allen bolt adjusters that the slide rail sits on just within the black mount on the side. I got there in the end. It was trail and error as you need to adjust the bolts with the sliding table off, remount. check, and try again. There is a good post on here somewhere about checking for squareness on thats worth reading too.

I will give NMA a shout wrt the pin, I get probably about 3 degrees of play.

Agreed despite the "portable" natue of the saw I don't much like moving it about. Get yourself a good blade too, it is so quiet then and just drifts through the wood without any complaint.

Cheers G.
