Our shed bought a Scheppach HMS860 Planer Thicknesser in 2022, which was manufactured in October 2021.
The drive belt snapped due to a screw coming loose on a blade.
The belt was marked 5pj610. A new belt was purchased from Scheppach but it was very loose. Scouring the internet we found that others had the same problem and a 5pj605 belt was suggested. We purchased one of those but it also seemed too slack.
So we exchanged it for a 5pj599. This was a much better fit.
Scheppach also supplied a new blade adjuster screw, a low head M4 socket screw (special low head), however the screw size was changed in 2020 to a M5. Scheppach was contacted but didn't reply.
Instead a new screw was ordered from :-
