Saw maker Cope London

I have a little but tatty dovetail saw, steel backed marked Cope London, but I can't find any reference to that maker on the interwebnet. Is he a well known maker? I'd post a pic, but the camera's batteries are flat - again!

According to 'Handsaw Makers of Britain' by Schaffer and McConnell, there is no record of a Cope making saws in London or anywhere else. However, there are two Coopers and six Copleys listed as London makers.

Mrs Sarah Ann Cooper (succeeding Frederick Cooper jr.), 29 Austin St Bethnal Green, 1914-1915.
