Does anyone have any ballpark figures for the cost of these? All the websites say 'ring for a quote' but I need guesstimates this weekend.

(Note..as I want to replace the whole window including frame and it's part of building controlled work I have to get then from a Fensa supplier otherwise........ )

Many thanks

Roger

so how long is your piece of string roger???

there are guys in shepherds bush that do basics without glass from around 400 quid, but obviously that is not top quality hardwood, and maybe even not dg, but it is a starting point. you need to provide sizes then people can give you a bp figure

paul

£400 is cheap, Paul, even for up here in softwood. The people to ask would probably be JFC or Mr.Grimsdale - it's their sort of territory.

i agree, scrit i was surprised when i heard the quote, but i know the people.

it is tiny, but that seems to be the market there. other places it will be more, and i hope jacob charges more

Well, I've never seen a medium sized window quoted at less than £600. And I don't think that's unreasonable

£800 plus the glass , double glazed k will add £150 ish single will add £20 ish .

As Jason says. That was without the glass. Can't say that I know many joiners who'd quote with the glass these days simply because they don't/can't name-up the DG units. And there's a point. If I supply a door or window with the glazing I add a margin onto the price of the glass, which obviously makes me more expensive than buying your own glass and installing it yourself - and gets me out of the job of installing the frame, too......
