Yep, put my name to it Kevin. Looks like we have lost the Cutty Sark so better not lose another British Heritage had we? :wink:

Disagree entirely, I'm afraid. The ship was very badly damaged, agreed but not beyond salvage and as was said at the time of the fire, all the masts and rigging were safely stored at Chatham dockyard. It'll be a long haul but I'm very confident the the Cutty Sark will be repaired and be open again....after all, it's not the first time that fire has stuck the vessel and it's been repaired before - Rob
 
I agree that it is a good cause, and I have signed up to the petition. However, my experience of these petitions so far is that they mean diddly squat.
 
Unfortunately the City of Adelaide is so far gone it'd be less a restoration and more like a complete re-build. My dad reckons we're about 20 years too late to save her. Plenty of other candidates for support though, take a look here. Affiliation alert; the old man's a member and former chairman.
