I might just stay with the circular saw and two workmates for a while then. It works for me on 6-8' x 2' boards pretty well at the moment. From what you've written, in my position, I see no point spending out £100 less on this rather than getting something with an induction motor and cast iron frame i.e. TS-200 when I might be able to free up some space.
Well there will now be £200+ in my pocket come the end of the month so I might just finally get that Makita biscuit jointer!
