Just noticed that Rutlands have a sale on now, not everything is reduced just selected lines, but some good reductions.......

Cheers, Paul. :D

And I've just spend £95 on Joint-Genie kit after recieving a £25 voucher as one of the runners-up in a recent Good Woodworking competition!

I wasn't sure where else to ask this, so I'll ask here:
Are both Tormek machines compatible with all the sharpening accesories or is it just the larger model? I'd really like to get the smaller model at some time and would appreciate it if someone can help. Thanks.

I believe all the Tormek jigs work with either of their machines Olly.

Whats a Joint Genie ?

Cheers, Paul. :D

They've had a great reviews left, right and centre. It's a fair amount of cash for me to part with on a hand tool, and it may well be that I only ever bring it out on a rainy day, but the voucher's only valid for 28 days and, well, you know, I had to.... :D

Thanks also for the reply. I've got to go away and do some sums now...! :?

I won one of those vouchers too. It is now in the bin - If you scroll down the homepagbe a bit you will find that anyone can buy them at that price by pressing the 'Reader Offer' button.

What a swiz.

Oh well. :)

It still worked in their favour anyway - would you have visited their web site recently had you not been given the voucher? I know I wouldn't.

They know you're still going to buy one. One day....

Hi

I don't think the planer blade sharpening jig works with the lesser spec model ...there may be others, happy to be corrected of course :)

Cheers Alan

Olley,
I'm pretty sure that only the 'planer blade jig' isn't compatible with the smaller model.

I'm very happy with my Tormek (Smaller model) and of course it make a superb (and quick) job of sharpening hand plane blades and just about anything else.

I never knew what 'really sharp' meant 'till I got my Tormek.

Actually no, it didn't. I felt so miffed that I didn't buy one. My loss maybe, maybe not.
