Rutlands Bessey-style Clamps

Is it just me or do these look identical to Bessey clamps?

I'm not at home but I could swear every detail is identical.

I'm sure they do look identical in every way apart from quality !!

The red plasic is very brittle.

They look ok to me.
For light use they fit the bill.
I wondered when someone would come up with a realistically priced clamp like the blessy.
Maybe now Bessey will lower their prices????
(and pigs will fly?)

Ax do a similar range, they actually work quite well compared to Bessey, but as reported here, quite a few samples came with a twisted bar, so head and tail not in line as clamp extended. Those without this problem worked well,and more or less just like Besseys. I changed the faulty ones for Besssey, as all the then current batch seemed to share this problem. As usual no problem changing the faulty ones, or their faulty repalcements, or getting them changed for Bessey all returns/delivery at Ax's expense.

They have a LIFETIME GAURANTEE....so you can't grumble!

I bought four of those and they seem OK.

As said a bit plasticy but easy to use and free running.

I wont be tightening them too much.

The price was good, I figure I can replace any that break and still be in pocket. I am an occasional hobbiest, don't think they would take constant abuse.

I've bought them before and sent them back as they were rubbish and partly broken.
I bought Bessey and would not buy any cheap copies - they're a waste of time.
