Hi,
Has anyone got experience of fitting a Router Raizer Kit to a DeWalt DW 621 router?

Please see the picture downloaded from the web.

Not to that particular model but I have fitted it to whatever the DW equivalent of the Elu 177E is. What particularly would you like to know?

The picture seems to show that the Raizer device is fiitted through one of the plunge guide columns on the DW 621 and I wonderes if this was difficult to do.

I see what you mean. On mine it replaces the fine adjuster, IIRC, and this is clearly different.
Sorry, can't offer any more, although I would be interested to hear how you get on.

Thanks Mike,
I have read the PDF you posted.
I wonder if the mods to the router render the guarantee invalid.
Have you fitted one of these into a router plunge column. If so was it relatively easy?

Regards,
Mike.

I fitted one to my 625 with no problems several yrs back and it's a great piece of kit.
As long as you keep the bits you take off, the improvement is reversible so I cannot see how it can invalidate the guarantee?
Oh and it's very easy to fit.

Thank you to everyone who replied.
I have now found the official installation instructions for the Router Raiser.
In the case of the DW 621 router, the raiser fits inside the plunge column.
This involves re-routing the power cord into another entry and drilling inside the router body.
My router is brand new, so I will look for an alternative fix.
Regards,
Mike.

As this looked ideal for my porter cable, i found the uk supplier and the instructions. For my router it needs a hole drilled in the top of one of the housings and one in both the base and one of the guide rods.  Something i am not prepared to do, even on my 6+ yr old router

A good fine height adjuster already exist for the 97/621 it replaces the depth stop and threads onto the longer turret stop, No butchery required.
