If your eyes follow the movement of the rotating pink dot, the dots will remain only one colour - pink.
However if you stare at the black “+” in the center, the moving dot turns to green.

Now, concentrate on the black “+” in the center of the picture.
After a short period, all the pink dots will slowly disappear, and you will only see only a single green dot rotating.

It's amazing how our brain works. There really is no green dot, and the pink ones really don't disappear.
Proof enough that we don't always see what we think we see...

How does one copy these animated gifs?
I have seen several, including this one, that I would like to copy and send on to others, but can only ever copy just one frame.
Thanks
Jim

Some people don't believe anything is real unless they see it with their own eyes........this is a classic illustration of the folly of relying on the evidence of our own eyes!!!

Very clever.

Mike

Sorry Chris, but neither works for me.
Now the interesting point there is that I've only got one eye, no, not in the middle of my forehead!
I wonder if that makes a difference?
Would someone care to try again with one eye shut?

Roy.

I tried it with one eye Roy and it half worked  well it did on the first one the green dot appeared but the pink ones stayed visible the other one didn't work at all

i dont know how you copy the actual file , but if you click quote on christophs post you can copy the weblink and post it elsewhere or email it to others (make sure you go back once you have copied so that you dont duplicate the post here)

I just right clicked the image and chose "Save Picture as" and it saved the animated version.

I saved it to the desktop and then opened it again in the browser and it was working fine.

I'm using IE version 7 with Windows XP

regards

Brian
