Hi All , This is my latest creation  Burr Elm

Drilled 2 8mm holes for the rope to enter

Had some Burr break out on the edge so made up some copper powder mixed with epoxy

and

you can also see the 8mm half circle cut on the outer edge for the rope to locate in

Used a pen blank for the rope ends

cut the rope to length and whipped the rope ends to stop it fraying

Used thick super glue to fix the rope end caps and glue the rope in the grove .

Think it came out OK

So what do you think ??? :?:

Looks nice - think it works well because the rope is a similar colour to the bowl,so it doesn't overpower the burr figuring;and the bowl itself is a pleasantly uncomplicated shape,so again, just enhances it :D

How come you can see it Andrew :? :?:
I am also having problems with links that are put on.Some take ages to come up and others don't show at all :(

Don't know what the difference is,Paul, but can see all 12 pictures no problem. And checking the picture properties, they're hosted on Photobucket, same as we both use.

I know i have had trouble getting the thumbnails on like i was doing as PB seem to have changed something somewhere, :? which is why i am putting the larger piccys on now.
