Robert Sorby Patriot rubber ring

My rubber ring has snapped. Do you reckon Sorby will replace it FOC? or is it a consumable?

Yes they will replace them, I even carry some in stock for the few that do snap. One thing of note do not use WD40 on the rings because it will perrish the rubber

That explains it then. I had given all my exposed metal surfaces (including the Patriot) a quick spray of wd 40 to prevent corrosion. I packed it away in its box, only to find the band had snapped when I next opened the box.

The rubber band snapped on my Patriot chuck at the beggining of the week , ( I don't clean mine with WD40) I emailed them with my address and received a replacement in two days, excellent service as always.

Hats of to Turner's retreat - they sent me a new one FOC.

I realise that these are identical to those charity wrist bands when one of my work colleagues saw me open the package and thought I'd made a charitable donation.

I couldn't let him down could I?!
