Rescued from the flames

Hi All,

Was at a bushcraft meet last weekend, and some fella was telling me about a beech that fell down in his garden, he had chopped up, and drayed and was using for firewood,

then he told me its was all funny !!! - with lines through it !!

:shock:

Well after i stopped crying at the thought of all that spalted wood getting burned - i saved a small piece from the boot of his car, and found this very simple weedpot inside it.

I quite like it.

Ooh there's some ignorant people out there. Try putting an ad in your local freeceycle "Wanted: wood with funny lines, markings or weird grain." :lol:

Actually that may not be as daft as it sounds. I got a bag of mixed hardwood from freecycle that was put up for firewood or kindling from someone clearing out their workshop. Load of oak pieces plus a few other bits including a loasd of ready cut round blanks.
