Record whatsapp?

Does anyone know an easy way to record a whatsapp video?

go to WhatsApp, top left is a camera icon (at least on mine). press it, then you either press the circle to take a pic or press and hold for video. then send it.

am I missing something in the question?

if it is easier for you, you can probably record a video on your phone using the phones camera app, then attach it to a WhatsApp message.
