hi lads do any of you use a record t5 plane i have 1 its a good plane and does a good job of shooting and as a bench plane there is 1 on ebey at the moment at £79 more now than wen it was new .
i am having a workshop clearout so will be listing alot of it on ebay
i got my t5 for £10 at a bootsale .i am listing alot of moulding planes all in very good cond also hitachi router and hitachi reciprecating saw .slack and sellars saw set 12" tenon 26" crosscut in original packing i got more tools than i need so am having a sale an my takings i hope to use to visit my grandaughter and 2 sons in chichester in august
wen you look around the workshop and tot up the value of the contents its scary
so back to the t5 anyone ese use 1

I use my T5 mainly for shooting nowadays, but as a kid I used to use it as my fall-back plane as it handles both smoothing and jointing very nicely too. :) They have a nice balance and heft to them. :)

Yes, I use a T 5 as a dedicated shooting plane. Mine was sans the side handle when I got it, but I turned one up more like a front knob, which I think works better than the original handle. TBH, there is no real issue with the plane being a regular pitch plane for shooting. A miter plane with a Bevel up blade has the same EP, so the plane always functioned well in this roll.
