Dated to 1930s, excellent vice.

Recently renovated, but too long for my bench. I don't want to cut into the crossbar at the back of the bench to accommodate it.

Lovely vice, and in that condition that's £80 on eBay any week of the year. If I didn't have two already I'd buy this in a heartbeat.

No,...The original colour was Blue, as can be seen on the original unpainted part in his final picture.
I have exactly the same model from the same era, still in it's original paint.....

As mentioned above, the original colour was blue. I used red Hammerite, as that's what I had to hand. For me, it was going to be a vice, not a collection piece, so I wasn't worried about the colour.

The red colour looks really well done, I'm not knocking it! I know that Record sometimes did red spokeshaves, I was wondering if they might also have done a red vice.

I'd love to be able to come pick it up, but Essex is unfortunately a bit far for me to drive, but thanks anyway!
