We've been using Bosch S918AF and S922AF til now, all blunt so need replacing but they seem to be expensive (about £19 for 5). Is there a cheaper, good alternative for cutting thinnish mild steel?

Thanks.

What about the usual suspects :
Lenox
Milwaukee
Bahco
Bosch
?

There's a youtube channel called "last best tool" that opened my eyes to the fact that there is an incredible range of these things and I notice both Lenox and Bosch doing loads of specialist blades including carbide edged that supposedly last well.
Bahco because they have been making bimetal hacksaw blades since forever and Milwaukee because they have built up a big range of bits cutters and blades.

Thanks Sideways, I've done some hunting through those names and it seems £19 for 5 isn't so bad. My hope was there's some hidden gem for half the price, but hey ho!

Cheers Chris.
I think Toolstation wanted most of £19 for a single blade but it was a decently long new Bosch with the continuous strip of carbide brazed to the edge and all the teeth ground into it.
When they come up on sale I'd like to try some of these things out. They might well last as long as 5 ordinary hss blades.
