Hi,

I'm restoring a Stanley style "Woden" branded no. 5 1/2 and the rear tote is unsalvageable. Does anyone have a rear tote that might fit? The base of the tote is 85mm long.

Thanks!

I have a spare tote off a Stanley plane, not sure how well it would fit, you can have it for P&P

I'll measure it tomorrow

Is there enough meat on the old tote to cut it in half lengthwise on the bandsaw or the like. Then you can use one half as a template for cutting a fresh blank for shaping. You might be lucky and be able to mark out the holes for the screws from it too. I found it easier to mark out and drill these when the blank was still square and not cut to shape.
I did this for a Woden 4.5 and 5.5 a couple of years ago, still going strong now!
