I used to drive one of those when i'd just passed my test - it was an okay car and took me and my mate farley on many a surfing holiday down to cornwall and occasionally even back again without breaking down

admittedly as time went by it did develop a few "charming" idiosyncrasies like not starting in the morning unless you opened the bonnet and hit the starter motor with a mallet :shock:

eventually i tried to take it up lynton hill one too many times and burned the clutch out - but i still managed to sell it to a gullible fool... i mean fellow surfer... for enough money to buy an equally knackered ford escort to get us home

nah mate not the clio with the rockhard suspension and "i have no penis" paint job, even me and farley wouldnt have been seen dead in one of those (also they werent being made back then - at that time the much superior renault 5 was still the renualt supermini)

i was refering to the nissan micra GS yo chuchi posted - not a chav mobile by any stretch of the imagination as it would never out run a blue meanie - in fact it would struggle to outrun an arthritic tortoise...
