Sorry Paul........I'm legions behind when it comes to computers so thought I'd jump on the bandwagon

Has anyone got or knows how to set up a Kodak ESP 7 all-in-one wireless printer? Keeps asking for SSID and WEP/WPA passphrase and no matter what I put in (which I think are correct) it still won't connect to our wireless - LINKSYS, if that helps.

Thanks all

Mark :D

The SSID is the physical "security code" of the router - often printed on the outside of the box - somewhere near the serial number (looks like 4df64ce56a or something like that - it is hexidecimal)

The WPA/WEP is the logical "security code" of your network (this is the network password, e.g. "homenetwork")

Thanks Brian - but there seems to be every number combo, except the ones you said  Serial number etc, but nothing similar to what you pointed out. I know the passphrase however!

Thanks

Mark

The SSID is the 'name' of the wireless network ... if you have Windows, and list the wireless networks, this is what you see. It can be 'hexadecimal', but is often a 'word' i.e. something intelligible. HTH.
