My name is Ehsan I work for a film production company based in London. We've recently been approached by Channel 4 to make four short documentaries for their 'Three minute wonder' slot after the Channel Four news.

The title for the documentary is 'Garage wars' but the subject is not restricted to garages...it's a light hearted portrait documentary celebrating the quirky difference between a couple in a relationship, (highlighted by the cheeky arguments they have over the stuff they've been collecting over the years.)

The films will be a fun portrait of a long term relationship and the couples quirky sides.

I am looking for couples of any age who might have strange collections of stuff, and can see the lighter side to the age old problem of what to keep, and what to chuck out.

I really hope that you see the fun side of what I'm trying to do.

Well you have sure hit mother lode here!!

I've never met such a concentration of weirdos in my life

You have a few problems:

1. Our aquireing of woodworking tools is entirely logical. I know someone who can give you a perfectly rational argument for owning a filing cupboard full of chisels (don't I Pete?)
2. I have a double garage full of stuff ( my pretty things ) that some may consider junk but I KNOW will come in useful one day - this is normal.
3. I have a friend who chucks "everything" out - this is decidedly abnormal!!
4. Every person on this site, who I know personally, does not (dares not) argue with their partner. SWMBO is not in jest!! So your couple thing is shot to pieces.
5. I can't speak for others but I'd rather stick hot needles in my eyeballs that have anything to do with telly folks, who seem to "get off" on humiliating people.

I know you don't know me personally, but I always argue with SWMBO!

Well said m8

very true - i cant think of a quicker way to knacker your relationship than to have your "quirky" arguments exposed on national televsion.

hypothetically speaking of course - because me and my swbo never argue - i just do what i'm told :D

Hi,

Some of us do argue with SWMBO espeshally when they crash your 2 week old car!!

Just to let everyone know - as far as I'm aware, the OP hasn't contacted the mod team to discuss this request before posting. Volunteer at your own peril!

Pete,

Sorry to hear about your nice new motor

Please post and tell us when your SWMBO has come up with a reason why it was YOUR fault she crashed

I would volunteer if it included a complete removal of all contents of my double garage and replaced to positions of my choice.

well, I have just bought a house with my mrs, and will be kitting it out with all sorts of 'junk'. I will put everything I am 'allowed' in.

Now, swmbo, (surely this is fundamentally wrong if you argue with her!) would love to be on channel 4, and would entertain you. I, on the other hand, couldn't agree more with lurker and would only ever appear on tv on the news!!!! (and then not thru choice!)

Shame really 'cos we shall have to be ruthless in our downsizing; the house we are going to is half the size of the rented flat we have now! I am sure it could be most entertaining to watch me endure this move, I HATE moving house!

Lurker - you sound like you have the same opinions of 'media types' as I do, steer clear, eh?

Cheers all.

Neil
