I have quicktime picture viewer installed on my PC, is the link above a different piece of software?

DW - what you trying to do? If you're trying to play .MOV files then you can download Quicktime from that link. If they play already ok then you don't need to.

I was trying to download some music from here with my quicktime picture viewer but things locked up.

They are mp3 files. You can use Quicktime, but don't need to. Windows Media Player, Winamp and a host of others will play MP3s.

Just save the files to your hard disk and then open them in your chosen player.

Get rid of quicktime and install quicktime alternative http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Qui ... native.htm
This installs suitable codecs to work with existing media players without all the bloated software. Much better...

Thank you Gerry, is the program polite and doesnt try to grab everything in the music field? I have a midi program (Power Tracks) which I insist has first refusal of all my music files.
