Guys, Is it possible to use a Bullnose Router Bit on a router table for a 12" circle or should I do it with a handheld router?

Thanks

Far safer to use a tramel bar with a handheld router. Advance the cut in small increments. I've seen people make a V jig for the router table but the bit can still catch on the endgrain if using solid wood.

If you look at many of the bearing guided cutters it is often possible to find slightly larger bearings so you can initially take a smaller cut and work towards the final cut.

With a cutter with a single curve and just a single quirk it's easier to set the cut very very slightly shallow then set it to the full height to take a fine finishing cut. Even sanding the finished surface then repeating the edge cut without altering the height setting is sometimes enough - I sometime run the moulding around the edge then finish the flat surface then run the moulding again. For more complex mouldings like ogees obviously this can't be done so there needs to be a bit of tape or a different sized bearing.

Incidentally, if you buy your cutters from e.g. Wealden, if your order falls short of the free P&P it's an ideal time to order different and spare bearings.
