I've had a Record PT260 for some time and most of the time it works well (though pretty much only as a thicknesser). However I'm now having problems with the thicknesser belt slipping (infeed stops feeding together with smoke from the thicknesser belt). I can get a new belt from Record (again) but this is the second time that it has happened in a few months.
Does this issue ring any bells with anyone else?

Not had the problem but sounds like you may have a tight/gummed up bearing on one of the rollers or cutter block, how freely do they spin without the belt?

Go to a local bearing supplier to get a pattern belt For my Sheppach its 25.00 from usual supplier but from on line bearing company £5 delivered, at that price I don't mind changing every few months.
