We always have a problem with them, but this year more than ever it seems. We came home the other day to the kitchen bin alive with them and a dozen or so on the kitchen table. We'd seen one or 2 prior and I'd said I'd use the ant powder but was reluctant because of the dogs. Whilst in my local hardware shop I spotted this and bought a bottle. Sprayed in the bin and in the corner they seem to be coming from it worked instantly and has left a trail of dead ants across the floor. That was 3 days ago and we've not seen one ant since.

Yup, I believe that once a colony realises that ants are not returning from a particular route to food, they stop sending out parties to that location. Fascinating really.

Thanks - having a similar problem ourselves. I'll give that a go. We seem to have every other Ant killing product so why not one more!
